Ruffled Feathers Golf Club – Arcis Golf

Anchored by its exquisite championship layout, Ruffled Feathers Golf Club’s remarkable amenities, superlative guest service and breathtaking natural setting have earned it recognition among the state’s premiere daily fee golf properties.

Designed by the legendary Pete Dye and his son, P.B. Dye, to blend seamlessly with its breathtaking natural surroundings on the former site of verdant farmland, Ruffled Feathers’ par-72, 6,898-yard championship layout is as aesthetically beautiful as it is imaginative. Majestic trees frame lush, exquisitely-sculpted fairways and manicured greens, with 114 beguiling bunkers, a plethora of spectacular water features and gorgeous native wetlands creating both strategic diversity and a visually stunning backdrop for golf.

The first hole gives golfers a taste of the Dye-abolical design genius that has made Dye’s courses so iconic – featuring a 100-yard carry over water to a blind fairway. From there, it’s an artful tapestry of doglegs, elevated tees, railroad ties and mind-boggling twists and turns. Its signature hole, the 155-yard, par-3 No. 11, features a 100-yard carry to a peninsula green surrounded by water. Other gems include the 581-yard, par-5 No. 5, featuring a split fairway and a large tree and water guarding the hole; the 328-yard, par-4 No. 14, featuring panoramic views from an elevated tee to a skinny fairway, guarded on the left by wetlands and a large tree; and the 336-yard, par-5 No. 16, which demands a 150-yard carry off the tee, with wetlands running up the entire right side and ending in a pond just short of the green.

While challenging for scratch golfers, the course features multiple tees on each hole, enabling golfers of all ages and abilities an opportunity to experience Dye’s prolific craftsmanship first-hand.
