Doha, Qatar
Home to the Qatar Masters and designed by Peter Harradine in the mid 1990’s, Doha Golf Club is located about 10 km to the north of Doha, the Qatari Capital. Doha Golf Club was the first grass course to be sown in Qatar, and is a well regarded venue of the European Tour.
Measuring 7400 yards from the championship tees, it is certainly a long course, but offers various sets of tees to accommodate all levels of golfers. The championship course is varied in character, with some holes framed by natural rock formations, and others by water hazards. 65 cacti were imported from Arizona, and more than 10000 shrubs and trees have been planted. In addition to the championship course, there is a 9 hole, floodlit, academy course. A great layout for the less experienced golfer.
